The WPS Charitable Foundation is proud to support children of full-time employees in their pursuit of higher education through the Ray Koenig Memorial Scholarship Program.
How to apply
Interested students should submit a completed online application when the application opens in February of the current application year. Applications must be completed on this website. To begin, send your student to scholarships.wpsic.com to create their account.
Please note that students must create an account to initiate the application process using the student’s information, not the parents' information. The student is required to upload an official transcript from the student’s current institution. The student, whose parent must be an employee of WPS Health Solutions or one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, will invite the parent to add information in the online application.
Who is eligible?
- Be a child of a full-time employee of WPS Health Solutions or its subsidiaries
- Be a high school senior or high school graduate and age 25 or younger as of May 31, 2023 (students currently enrolled in college are eligible)
- Have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Be accepted as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree to an accredited institution for the 2023-2024 academic year
Children of officers of WPS and its subsidiaries are not eligible. Family members of the Board or Scholarship Selection Committee of the WPS Charitable Foundation also are not eligible.
Scholarship selection, notification, and distribution
Applications will be reviewed and selected by an independent Scholarship Selection Committee. Notifications will be sent via email to all applicants after the committee's selection by July 7, 2023.
Scholarship amounts will be paid to the educational institution of the selected recipients upon proof of full-time enrollment.
Scholarships may only be used for tuition and college fees (including books, if supplied by the college). Room and board are not eligible. Unused portions of the scholarship may not be carried over to subsequent school years or refunded to the student by the college. Any misuse of funds will result in forfeiture of all future unpaid grant payments and the right of recovery of such funds by the WPS Charitable Foundation. Interrupted attendance will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances and on an individual basis (severe illness, family emergency, etc.). The Scholarship Selection Committee will make the decision in case of interruption and its decision will be final based on information furnished.
Scholarship recipients must inform the WPS Charitable Foundation of their home address and their address at school and immediately notify us of any change in either address. A scholarship recipient is required to sign a statement that he or she agrees to the terms and conditions of the award.
